GUEST LECTURES

On 27th Aug’ 2016, Guest Lecture On Historical Perspective Of Women Through Ages was delivered by Mrs.Brahmeswari. D. HOD of Social Sciences

 On 15th November 2016, students of the Women Empowerment Cell were given an exposure to the talk on Entrepreneurial activities-Vermi compost and Sericulture. An emphatic talk was given BY Dr. R. INDIRA,HOD of  Zoology.
 

   Dr.N.Nagavardhanam, HOD of Botany  delivered a guest lecture to the students of Women Empowerment Cell on the topic “Ayurvedam – In Daily life” on 22nd Nov’ 2016. She gave an impressive presentation on different formulations that can be made at home for various health and skin problems.  

GUEST DEMONSTRATIONS


Demonstration of Paper crafts by Ms. R. Ripsee was arranged on 03-12-2016 and 27-01-2017 In the process of preparing students towards entrepreneurship certain skills were demonstrated to prepare paper crafts. This helped students to get benefit out of it as an entrepreneurial activity. As this is a creative venture students were much interested to gain skill in doing the flowers.

DRAMATIZATIONS & ROLE PLAYS
Role plays and dramatizations were organized by involving students of various groups on atrocities that women are undergoing in their day to day life. All the groups took an active role in depicting the women’s issues.

Workshop was followed by the valedictory session and the winners of the competitions conducted by the women empowerment cell were given prizes and the eligible candidates were given certificates
NATIONAL WOMEN’S PARLIAMENT
This academic year the volunteered staff and students of the college are fortunate to participate in National Women’s Parliament (NWP) held at Amaravathi, capital city of  Andhra Pradesh from 10th to 12th February 2017 which was a common platform for women from diverse backgrounds like politics, social sector, education, sports, industry, media, cinema, arts and culture, judiciary to interact with the audience.. This event helped the young aspiring girl students to stage their experiences, share knowledge and research in the area of women’s social, economic and political empowerment.


 

 

 

Staff and students were very highly satisfied by getting exposure to the various
                            Programmes organized during the three day event of the
                                            National Women’s Parliament

The status of women in India has been subject to many great changes over the past few millennia. Owing to this phenomenal change every year we, the Theresians identify and felicitate the selfless services rendered by women and also the women achievers in any field.  These women are honoured on the occasion of women’s day celebrations on March 8th. This year the identified seven eminent women of our college who had excelled in their service with commitment and dedication and brought laurels to themselves and to the institution. We, the Theresians took the wonderful opportunity of honouring them at our college premises and presented these women achievers to the other Theresians as role models.
